More Federal Control
I just read this article and it just goes to show how much government is infringing on personal freedom. Now I admit, it's not that bad of an idea, and most of us have nothing to hide, so why does this matter? In my opinion, it's a matter of principle. As soon as you allow for things like this, it becomes slightly more acceptable for more civil liberties to be taken away. It's a slippery slope.

I don't think its an issue of federal control. I think its the whole Big Brother thing. Its creepy to think the government can listen to your phone calls, read your emails, etc, even though you know you have nothing to hide (OR DO YOU??).
